Suspect charged with murder after Birchington assault victim’s death

A man has been charged with murder following the death of a man who was assaulted in Birchington.

Kent Police attended following an altercation in Station Road at 1.49pm on Saturday 9 March. A man in his 40s was taken to a London hospital, where he died on Monday 15 April.

Detectives from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate are investigating and previously charged Rashko Kurtev, 31, with causing grievous bodily harm.

On Friday 14 June, Mr Kurtev, of Park Avenue, Birchington, was further charged with murder in relation to the incident.

He appeared before Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Saturday 15 June and was remanded in custody to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Tuesday 18 June.

  1. And still the deluded left will tell us that mass immigration is a good thing and even mentioning that the killer is a foreign national makes you racist.

    • But the problem is that without knowing as a certainty where someone came from and you have enough statistical data to show that certain sections of society are responsible for a disproportionate amount of crime, it’s all too easy for those that disagree with a viewpoint to shout out the usual “isms” and get debate shut down.
      Of course that argument falls apart when the “right thinkers” have an agenda to pursue , eg the endless war on landlords that punishes them all rather than the minority that cause problems. All a bit messy and illogical but seemingly the way of the modern world.
