Disruption to train services between Ashford and St Pancras is expected to continue until 12.30pm today (May 16) due to a problem with overhead power lines earlier.
Engineers investigated the issue and identified a fault with a specific train which was causing the problems with the electrical supply between Ashford International and Ebbsfleet International. The fault on the train has been resolved and it has now moved back to Ashford International, clearing the London-bound line.
However, Highspeed services between Ashford and London St Pancras International are severely disrupted, and may be altered or cancelled at short notice. The 11.50am from Margate to St Pancras has been cancelled.
All lines have reopened but trains may continue to be cancelled, delayed by up to 60 minutes or revised.
