An official opening ceremony for a new 66-bed residential home in Broadstairs will take place in May with former presenter and newsreader Jan Leeming cutting the ribbon.
The 82-year-old was a well-known newsreader in the 80s but has also appeared on a multitude of shows from I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here to The Real Marigold Hotel. For more than a decade she has been involved with a cheetah conservation charity.
Copperfield Court in Northwood Road is one of three new care homes by Oyster Care Homes. Already open as part of a soft launch, the property will hod its official ribbon cutting on May 16 from 2:30pm to 5pm.
Guests attending the ceremony will have the opportunity to tour the home’s facilities, which include a bistro, cinema, hair salon, and café.
Copperfield Court provides 24-hour residential, dementia, and respite care.

LNT Care Developments built the facility which is powered by Solar PV panels.

The care home has a team which includes an experienced home manager and a luxury on-site chef.
