Crews called to garden furniture fire in Ramsgate

Fire crews were called to Nixon Avenue Photo Aneesha Stillman-Watson

Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of garden furniture alight in Nixon Avenue, Ramsgate, yesterday (April 7).

Two fire engines attended at just before 3pm and crews wearing breathing apparatus used hose reel jets to extinguish the flames, which had spread to an outbuilding.

No injuries were reported, and the cause is unknown.

Crews finished at the scene at 3.26pm.

  1. i hope the person whos furniture ” caught fire ” is prosecuted , furniture does not catch fire on its own , it seems more likely it was a bonfire which is illegal not to mention the risk to life and property !
