Hot on the heels of Ramsgate-based Wantsum Productions’ show Rent, the team are back with a new fundraising musical.
Cabaret-style production Movies, Musicals and More 2 will feature songs from blockbuster movies and well-known musicals when it is staged on Saturday 27th April.
The show is for one night only and will include specially created dance routines with some of the musical performances, accompanied by the Chatham and Clarendon Grammar School Jazz Band.
Talented local performers will join the creative team of Annalee Gibbons, Oskar Gibbons and Rhea Woodward, who between them have an impressive back catalogue of productions in the Thanet area as cast members, director, choreographer and technical support.
Proceeds from the musical will go towards Wantsum’s next production of West Side Story due to be on stage in October.
Musical director Annelee Gibbons said: “Movies, Musicals and More 2 is the second fundraiser cabaret show we’ve put on, so we can raise the funds to help us with our next production, West Side Story.
“We are a non-profit company and putting on a large-scale show is very costly. Some of our cast in Movies, Musicals and More 2 have been with us in previous productions and we are delighted to welcome some new performers for this event.
“We pride ourselves on giving our audience a spectacular night of entertainment with a few surprises too, and we hope they’ll return to see the musical in October.”
