Seabird in Ramsgate is now serving lunch and dinner from its new outdoor kitchen, alongside the craft cocktails, artisan coffee, natural wine, bar snacks and small plates guests have been enjoying since Summer 2023.

A new menu has been created for the outdoor kitchen and barbecue built by Seabird owners Damian Williams and Stuart Langley. The duo say they have been working on the new Spring / Summer food offer over the winter months.

Stuart said: “If you enjoy great food and drink in a relaxed setting, then you’ll love what we are doing at Seabird.

“The menu is small but packed with the best seasonal, tasty ingredients we can get our hands on.  The cooking is skilled, honest, and full of flavour.  The vibe is relaxed and friendly; perfect for a quick bite to eat, date night, or a nice long lunch or dinner with family and friends”.

Highlights from the barbecue include Spring lamb shoulder, whole mackerel and white asparagus, served with Jersey royal and mint salad and grilled baby gem lettuce.  Starters and small plates include pea, mint and ricotta bruschetta, whipped cods roe and breakfast radishes, and smoked black bean and sweetcorn ceviche.

Damian said: “There will be three main courses served from the barbecue, plus a selection of starters and desserts.  Guests can snack with a beer or a glass of wine, share plates over cocktails, or order three courses over a bottle of something nice.

“Now Spring is on the way, the barbecue is an ideal Sunday lunch option with family and friends.  Our favourite cuts of meat, locally caught fish and carefully chosen vegetables, cooked over fire, with simple, tasty, seasonal sides.”

Joining the Seabird team is chef Russell Oxtoby, most recently at Updown Farmhouse, who said: “I’ve always enjoyed cooking in challenging environments; Michelin kitchens, outdoor restaurants, or on super yachts.  I’m really pleased to have been asked to help the Seabird team bring the new outdoor kitchen to life.”
