RAPS musical showcase on stage at the Granville Theatre

Singing rehearsal for Ramsgate Arts Primary children

Talented children from Ramsgate Arts Primary are under the spotlight in a special show at the town’s Granville Theatre.

The musical extravaganza on Tuesday, March 26, is the culmination of months of planning and rehearsal in readiness for the big performance to families and friends.

Taking centre stage is a big learning curve for many of the performers as it will be the biggest production they have been involved with.

The showcase will feature pupils from Key Stage 2, choirs, an orchestra and a staff band.

Assistant Head of School Hannah Dannell who is co-ordinating the extravaganza said: “Theatregoers can look forward to an array of dazzling dances and captivating musical theatre numbers – our dedicated young performers are ready to shine in front of a live audience.”

Head of School Nick Budge praised the work of children and staff. He said: “They are so enthusiastic and dedicated, and deserve the fullest praise and lots of audience support for everything they have already achieved.

“They will showcase their creativity, demonstrating some of the skills and techniques they have learned in their arts curriculum lessons.

“The event promises a diverse program featuring the school choir, captivating guest performers, and impressive whole school numbers in a show crammed full of musical magic.”

Doors open at 4.30pm for curtain up at 5.30pm. Tickets are available from the Granville Theatre website online at www.atgtickets.com/shows/raps-musical-showcase/granville-theatre.
