Houselights drama group at Chatham and Clarendon Grammar School in Ramsgate will stage a new production next week.

‘JAB’ tells the story of aspiring boxer Max who is on her way to join Team GB, but when the unexpected happens in a qualifying match her entire world turns upside down.

The original performance has been devised by the Houselights team and looks at the frustration of uncertainty.

Houselights was established in 2020 as an elite drama group at Chatham & Clarendon Grammar School. Productions take place in the school’s  intimate studio theatre in Cavendish Street.

The group is predominantly sixth form students and plays tend to explore more serious themes than usual school shows.

‘JAB’ will be running from 5-8 March. All shows are from 7pm.
