Fundraising for Family Hub at Holy Trinity & St John’s School

Holy Trinity & St John’s CE Primary's plan for a family hub building

Holy Trinity & St John’s CE Primary School in Margate is fundraising to create an on-site family hub.

The hub will be near the school’s main office and will be used for families to drop in and meet with the Family Support Team and Thrive practitioners.

The school will also use the space to provide training to families as well as a food, hygiene and clothing bank. They are aiming to raise £52 000 to build a bespoke cabin as the base for this.

The hub will be an extension of Holy Trinity & St John’s CE Primary’s Thrive approach spaces which are aimed at improving the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people. The school also runs training and information sessions, following the Thrive approach for families.

Headteacher Rob Garratt said: “Opening a family hub will complement the Thrive work we already do with our children across the school. This will allow us to support our families and to work together in supporting their children both in and out of school.”
