Part of the Margate Road in Ramsgate was shut due to a police incident today (January 28).

The section of road – Margate bound-  around the parade of shops and opposite the Hare and Hounds pub was closed as armed police dealt with the incident involving a man on a roof.

Armed officers, police and ambulance crews were in attendance. Witnesses reported that upwards of ten emergency service vehicles are at the scene in response to a person in distress report and not related to any other offence.

Update:

A Kent Police spokesperson said: “Police were called to a concern for a man at a property in Margate Road, Ramsgate. He has since been transferred to the care of medical professionals.”

  1. Same property as before? Hardly likely you’d have armed police for an incident that hasn’t been assessed as a risk to others, so probably a bit more to it.

  2. Quite frankly my dear boy, this is a peasant’s problem. Thus how dare you interrupt my early evening Merlot!
Evening tea with my fellow London Illuminati is due shortly. Jog on chaps.

  3. I know this young lad, I hope his mental health finally gets treated, so sad. To be struggling already and trying to come to terms with his mums terminal illness must have broken him to be that suicidal. Thinking of him and his family
