The body of a man has been found in Minnis Bay this afternoon (January 8).
At around 12.40pm, Kent Police was called to the area by HM Coastguard after the man was found. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Formal identification has not yet taken place. However, the family of 58-year-old Graham Sharratt, who was reported missing earlier today, have been informed.
The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
