A tennis coaching company is to expand its schools programme after a successful partnership with Royal Harbour Academy in Ramsgate.

The scheme with Infinity Tennis means Royal Harbour Academy students receive free premier tennis coaching and this will run into the Spring and Summer of 2024. The arrangement has been helpful in mitigating the squeeze in school budgets and, in exchange, Infinity Tennis is using the Academy’s indoor sports facilities free of charge.

Infinity Tennis now plans to expand the initiative to interested schools in Broadstairs, Margate, Herne Bay, and Faversham.

Ryan Bing, Head of PE at The Royal Harbour Academy, said: “Providing our students with access to high-quality sports education has always been a priority.

“This partnership with Infinity Tennis not only enriches our PE programme but also ensures our students receive the best in sports education with no implication on our tight budgets.”

Gavid Vickers, Head Coach at Infinity Tennis, added: “With the success in Ramsgate, we are motivated to extend this winning formula to more schools. Our goal is to make high-quality tennis coaching accessible to as many students as possible, fostering a love for the sport and encouraging physical fitness and wellness.

“Tennis has been a significant part of my life since I started playing at 14, after a school tennis lesson. It has shaped my life and career, and I’m passionate about offering the same opportunity to others.”
