Libertines’ fans attending a weekender gig at the 500 capacity Lido bar were treated to a number of new songs which will feature on the upcoming album All Quiet on the Eastern Esplanade.
Songs from the album, which is due for release on March 8, included Man With The Melody, Merry Old England and Have A Friend.
New singles Night of the Hunter and Run Run Run, which has video shot in Margate, were also played.
The band, which owns The Albion Rooms hotel, bar and recording studio in Cliftonville, had local support acts Max Bianco and Morag Butler who owns Rosslyn Court in Cliftonville.
During the weekend there was also a new video shoot featuring a ‘funeral’ group.
The weekender was a celebration ahead of the new album and also featured after-parties at The Albion Rooms and Justines club in Margate and an evening with actor Geoff Bell, who features in the Run Run Run video, hosted by fellow actor Eddie Webber at the Walpole Bay Hotel [pictured below].
The Libertines head off on tour at small UK venues during January and February.
