Christmas has arrived in Westgate and Cliftonville with festive light switch-on events this weekend.
Despite the gloomy weather, families turned out for the celebrations.
In Westgate today[December 3] stage favourite Simple Simon – aka Gordon Clarkson – helped get the fun going alongside a visit from Father Christmas, entertainment from Coastal Choir, Treble Bass, Off the Hook Productions, FNK Haus, panto stars from MOS and lots of craft, food and drink stalls.
At The Oval Bandstand in Cliftonville yesterday [December 1] there was mulled wine, shopping, food, community stalls and free live music and performance from Ska-Per, Ruby Tipple, The Social Singing Choir and Round in Circles.
Santa Claus also made an appearance in his magical grotto and the team lit up the bandstand.
