Woman rescued from sea at Western Undercliff following welfare concern report

A woman has been taken to hospital today (November 13) following a multi-agency attendance to a welfare concern report at Ramsgate’s Western Undercliff.

Police, Margate Coastguard Rescue Team, Ramsgate RNLI, the fire service and paramedics were involved in the rescue of the woman from the sea.

She was brought to shore by Ramsgate RNLI and passed into the care of Coastguard and South East Coast Ambulance Service.

A HM Coastguard spokesperson said: ““HM Coastguard has been responding to an incident in Ramsgate today, 13 November.

“Alerted at around 10.30am, Margate Coastguard Rescue Team and a lifeboat from Ramsgate have been sent to assist.”

A Kent Police spokesperson added: “Kent Police officers assisted HM Coastguard, the RNLI and South East Coast Ambulance Service following a report of concern for a woman in the sea near Royal Harbour Approach, Ramsgate at 10.25am.”

South East Coast Ambulance Service has been asked for further details.
