Crews called to canopy fire at Margate railway station

Two fire crews have attended an incident at Margate railway station today (September 7).

Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a canopy alight at the station at 3.20pm.

Two fire engines attended and crews found the fire was out on arrival but used flexi-packs to dampen down any remaining hot spots.

No injuries were reported and the cause is believed to be accidental.

Crews finished at the scene at 3.56pm.
