Avant-pop act Von Wildenhaus is heading to Ramsgate Music Hall this week following the release of new single “Ketamine”
In lieu of a traditional album release the artist is issuing an extended series of singles across the coming months, culminating in a new compilation ‘Von Universe’, which will be available exclusively at the UK shows.
Von Wildenhaus says: “Ketamine” embodies the feeling of dissociation that overwhelms when you separate from someone you love. We often play this as spacey folk, but here we really wanted to take it into the realm of ethereal ‘80s pop — that crisp digital world full of inorganic heartbreak.”
The CD available at Von Wildenhaus’ UK shows has ten tracks and brings together an eccentric group of songwriters, players and producers.
Where recent single “Ghost Moon” tapped into folk, bazaar noir and junk-pop, the likes of “Anna Sonata” is a grunge stomper and final single Endless Start released today (September 5) is a ballad.
The Von Wildenhaus UK tour kicks off at Ramsgate Music Hall on Thursday (September 7). Doors open 7.30pm
