KFRS

Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to Broadstairs High Street yesterday (August 20) to reports of a fire in a flat.

Four fire engines and a height vehicle attended just after 4.30pm and crews, wearing breathing apparatus, tackled a fire in a bathroom using hose reel jets.

Two people suffering the effects of smoke inhalation were checked over by SECAmb paramedics.

The fire is believed to have started due to an electrical fault.  Crews finished at the scene at 6pm.

  1. Lost count of how many fires there have been in Broadstairs recently, or are they just getting reported more?
