Ramsgate youngster gains superfan spot on BBC’s Blue Peter show

Jake was chosen for a Blue Peter superfan spot

Ramsgate youngster Jake Isaacs has had a TV spot on BBC’s Blue Peter programme.

The 11-year-old former Holy Trinity pupil was chosen to feature as one of the Blue Peter superfans inspiring a segment on last Friday’s show (August 4).

He was revealed by presenter Mwaka Mudenda as a ‘reviewer’ who had enjoyed the Blue Peter challenges set for the show hosts.

Jake, who starts at Chatham & Clarendon grammar next month, is an avid fan.

While a pupil at Holy Trinity he gained four badges for Blue Peter – the classic badge for a Blue Peter drawing that was shown, the Ed Sheeran music badge for productions at school, the green badge for being in environmental team at school involved in beach cleaning and growing produce in the vegetable garden for school dinners and his purple badge for being part of the Blue Peter fan club, posting suggestions around coding, and commenting on the top ten Blue Peter challenges.

Mum Lindsey said: “Blue Peter contacted us to ask if Jake could be on an episode in the summer, and could we send the producers photos of Jake. They then contacted us with a TV air date.”
Jake added: “I felt happy and honoured that they let me be a part of the show.”
