Thanet Pro Wrestling moves to new Margate base

Thanet Pro Wrestling Academy

The team at Thanet Pro Wrestling Academy have moved to a new base and now have a freestanding ring that can be accessed at all times.

The academy, housed under Thanet Pro Wrestling Ltd, is run by owners and directors Jamie Hill, Stewart Pears and Chris Care.

The wrestling crew started out at Royal Harbour Academy last year and now, thanks to a deal with Thanet Iceberg Project, they are able to expand what’s on offer at the new base at Westwood Business Park.

Jamie said: “Moving to a unit that doesn’t limit our time was always on the cards, but we didn’t expect to move so soon.

“It was always our goal to have a facility with a freestanding ring we can access whenever we wanted to, the opportunity came along and we went all in, the opportunities we now provide are a leap in comparison to the original once a week time slot we had before.

“We are now running every Thursday and Sunday, with private sessions and ring hire available throughout the week.

“This allows us the chance to launch the highly anticipated kids club and have multiple dates on offer available for our trainees.

“The community we have built up is incredible, all of the trainees at Thanet Pro Wrestling work so hard every week. It is a lovely, friendly, accepting, diverse group of people who wouldn’t have come together in one place if it wasn’t for their enthusiasm and love for wrestling.

“It’s a very exciting time to be a part of the TPW family and we could not be prouder of how things are going and can only hope for continued success and evolution as time goes by.

“The academy has been growing and growing, we have had a high volume of requests asking about other in-ring training dates, private sessions, the kids club etc.

“With our hall hire we could not provide all of these without the sessions being on rotation.

“We found ourselves in a position where we were confident enough to be able to run and sustain a facility if we were able to offer more.

“We are thrilled to be housed under the Thanet Iceberg Project run by Alexander Roarke. You can now pop in for a coffee at the Lounge Cafe and if you are up for it, a wrestling session!”

Thanet Pro Wrestling is offering membership programs with gold and platinum packages as well as pay as you go.
