Police and paramedics were called to Margate High Street last night (June 21) after a report of a man being punched and pushed to the ground by a woman outside Costa.
Officers are investigating the assault and appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
A witness to the incident said: “A woman with a group of people assaulted a man because he wouldn’t get out of the chair. She punched him, slapped him and pushed him onto the ground,”
A Kent Police spokesperson said: “Kent Police was called to a report that a woman had assaulted a man in Margate High Street at 7pm on Wednesday 21 June.
“Officers attended along with South East Coast Ambulance Service and the man was given medical attention.
“Enquiries into the incident are ongoing and anyone with information is urged to call Kent Police on 01843 222289, quoting reference 46/110285/23.”
