Thousands of people turned out yesterday (May 14) to enjoy the Ellington Park May Fayre.

The annual event included some 90 stall holders, live music on the bandstand, classic cars, a fun fair, and  the popular Ellington Park Bookshop.

There were food stalls and a beer tent, as well as the Ellington Cafe being open all day.

Members of The Ramsgate and District Model Engineering Club were running their 5″-gauge locomotives and offering rides.

Performers included singer-songwriter Luke Dorman, Daisy Dorman, Akadem,  The SuperMicks and Great British Carnival’s samba drummers Samba Ya Wantsum.

Donations made on the day go towards covering the costs and supporting other community projects around the park.

  1. It was a lovely day, great for families. However, the queues to buy refreshments, and to use the WC were horrendous.

  2. It was a great day out, yes queues were long but the real issue was the dogs on extendable leads, why anyone would subject their dog to crowds like that is beyond me.
