A second goal for Speller and one for Chapman, assisted by Kemp, saw the ‘Gate head into half time with a 3-1 lead.

Just a minute into the second half a sluggish Margate side allowed Aylesford to secure their second of the game closing the gap to just one goal.

Niblett and Conabeer linked nicely on the wing and a shot from a narrow angle on the wing headed straight for goal assisted by a knock by the home defender to restore a two goal advantage.

In the closing minutes of the game Aylesford netted a third goal setting up a tense final few minutes, however the ‘Gate held onto a 4-3 win.
