Fire crews attend suspected arson at empty Broadstairs property

Kent Fire and Rescue crews attended a suspected arson at an empty property in Broadstairs yesterday (April 4).

Crews were called to Lindenthorpe  Road at around 4.30pm to a shed fire at the derelict property.

A Kent Fire and Rescue spokesperson said: “Kent Fire and Rescue Service were called to reports of a shed alight at a derelict property under construction on Lindenthorpe Road in Broadstairs.

“Two fire engines attended, and crews used hose reel jets to tackle the fire.

“No injuries were reported, and contact was made with the owners of the property. The cause is believed to be suspicious.”

  1. When my Cousin moved out of London he bought a farm in Wales – his barn would catch fire every time he rebuilt it – it was like a local ritual

  2. good point , perhaps we have some thanet for thanetonians ? but then i doubt that looking at the place.
