  1. Condolences to the families R.I.P.
There was a serious accident in Ramsgate on Saturday however no mention of it on the news.

    • Could be all manner of reasons.. firstly when there is a fatal accident the scene has to be secured, evidence gathered and investigation by specialist RTA investigator (maybe with all the cuts there were delays with lack of staff resource), then once that is done you have vehicle recovery, then you could have damage to tarmac and the central reservation which need to be repaired.

    • Sounded like damage to the tarmac, oil or maybe even fire damage as well as the barriers. Queues were horrendous, took me two hours to get from Margate to Canterbury via Sturry to rejoin the M2. Very sad outcome for a family somewhere . I’ve often thought this stretch should have average speed cameras, last year I even saw a car spun off and up a tree in that area.
