Kent Police has confirmed the death of a woman in a crash on the A299 Thanet Way this morning (February 27).
Kent Police was called at around 4.35am following a serious collision on the London-bound carriageway between Chestfield and Whitstable.
It was a single-vehicle collision involving a blue Vauxhall Mokka. Kent Fire and Rescue Service and SECAMb also attended.
A Kent Police spokesperson said: “We can confirm a woman in her 30s sadly died this morning following a single-vehicle collision on the A299 Thanet Way.”
Nobody else was in the vehicle and there were no other injuries. A nearby collision on the coastbound carriageway involving two vans was unconnected and no serious injuries were reported.
The road is now open in both directions.
