40 Miller                     67 Codd

 55 Paxman                 90 Campbell

A slight dampness in the air  at the WW Martin Community stadium, with two local sides going head to head – Rams top of the table and Faversham at the foot and desperate for points.

Rams attacking the airport end for the first half as Faversham got us underway, a slow start to the game as both sides tried to read the other’s tactics.

7th min we saw the first action on goal as Jadama fired in a shot. It was blocked out for the first corner of the game, the corner came across and Jadama headed home to give Rams the lead and a big boost in the promotion race.

Rams started to make the play with some very good pass and move action. Jadama slotted through on 11 minutes, beating the defender but shooting straight at Tonkin in the Favs goal. He should have really buried this opportunity. A very good 15 mins for the Rams with Paxman curling one just wide and a couple of good breaks.

Fav mounted their first real attack 20th min, gaining a free kick wide right, Rams defence holding firm as debutant Olomowewe headed clear. 24th Fav again on the attack with a powerful shot along the floor from Ademiluyi forcing Bexon into action.

The game was a little livelier with Carvalho seeing a lot of ball down the left but no real chances being created. The game entered a very scrappy phase.

36th Fav got the ball up to Sithole who beats the Rams high line to get a shot away across Bexon’s goal. There was no one else up with him for what would have been a tap in, would Fav rue this missed opportunity?

37th Rams gained a free kick in a dangerous position, the ball fired in by Jadama with a diving header, saved by Tonkin, Jadama could have had a hattrick by this point but it remained a slender lead.

Carvalho went down the right, outpacing Shaw at left back and getting over a perfect cross for Miller to slot home- Rams second on 40. Rams spurred on again as Paxman shot just over and the half time whistle blew.

A bright start to the second as Fav pushed to try and get themselves back in the game but it was Paxman in the 55th. He collected the ball just in his own half, laying it off to Liburd who return passed down the left. Paxman looked up to see Tonkin off his line and he lobbed him for the perfect end to a wonderful move – Rams in control at 3 – 0.

I don’t know what happened next as Rams seemed to think the job was done but Fav had other ideas, 59th ball dropped to Sithole who smashed it past an outstretched Bexon who had no chance, 3 – 1.

The goal certainly inspired Fav. The 60th and Ademiluyi, who was constantly going forward,  got another power strike away, forcing Bexon into another good save.

64th and Rams get a free kick edge of the box as Carvalho is brought down. Miller stepped up but hits over, he should have at least hit the target. Rams had a couple of headers with  Jadama & Olomowewe both cleared.

67th and Fav break a direct attack, the defence missed the chance to break up the play  and the ball came to Codd who fired home, 3 – 2. Rams were now under pressure as Fav had their tails up and could smell a point.

Rams made a couple of subs with 71st Rowland replacing Miller & 78th Osinfolarin replacing Liburd, after more Fav pressing, Rams were struggling to get the ball away and made their final sub with Olopade replacing Emptage.

90th after much of the play being with Fav, Rams gave away a free kick just outside the D. Campbell was over the ball, the Rams defence set up with the wall covering, Campbell hit a fantastic free kick over the wall just skimming the inside of the upright and into the back of Bexon’s net to finish off a superb shot,  Fav come back full time 3 – 3.

Rams may rue this result however they remain top but congratulations to Faversham for not letting their head go down at 3 – 0 to take a point.
