The former home of Plunketts Veterinary Surgery in Ramsgate High Street has sold for £495,000 at auction.
The historic four storey property thought to date from the 18th century went under the hammer with Clive Emson auctions.
Plunketts moved to a purpose built site in Princes Road, Ramsgate, in 2021.
The building at 154 High Street has an extensive back garden with a cattery and kennels.
It has permission for its use to be changed from a vet surgery to a five bedroom home.
Jon Rimmer, auction appraiser, said: “The change of use means this could become a fabulous family home.
“It might also be extended if all necessary consents are obtainable. The building has Georgian features and is situated in Ramsgate’s town centre with all its amenities.”
