Properties in Broadstairs and St Peter’s are without water again today (January 11) but the ‘technical issue’ is being fixed now.
Residents in and around the Pyson’s Road area, at Westwood Cross and some in Ramsgate, are reporting either low pressure or no water. Southern Water lists the fault as a power outage but there are currently no further details.
Stores at Westwood are among those without a water supply.
A Southern Water spokesperson said repairs are already underway.
They added: “We’re very sorry for the disruption to water supplies in parts of the CT10 Brodstairs area this morning. A technical fault at one of our pumping stations meant some customers have been experiencing low pressure or no water.
“Teams are on site and two out of three pumps are already restarted. We will be manning the site until we are sure there are no further problems. Updates will be posted on our Facebook and @SouthernWater Twitter feed.”
Again! What a disgraceful company.
How did you get on last time? Did someone bring you water? (I did ask before, but you must’ve missed it).
Disgraceful and rotten to the core.
A mirror image,in fact,of our appalling government.
When our MPs going to pass a law imposing financial penalties on the people at the top of these water companies for their consistent disregard of their responsiblities to the customers whose money goes to them?
The only thing we can do now as customers is not pay our next water bill in protest!
