Leopold Street multi-storey

Police officers are investigating a reported assault in Ramsgate’s Leopold Street multi-storey car park where two people suffered injuries.

At around 11.30pm on Friday 9 December, three males approached a group of friends and asked for a lift in their car.  An altercation broke out when the group refused and a woman suffered bruising to her face. Another victim suffered a broken wrist.

The three men had previously been seen fighting between themselves at a bus stop nearby. They are described as wearing hooded tops, with one man wearing their hood up along with a face covering.

Anybody with information or dashcam footage, which may assist the investigation, is urged to call Kent Police on 01843 222289, quoting crime reference number 46/236118/2

  1. Plenty of council cameras in that location, thats where the police and part time wanna be cops park their cars when not on duty.
Seems there is more to this splash than just a usual thanet personal violence story.
Sorry to hear people were assaulted, its a council property, its easily solvable. tdc get finger out, if your cctv dont work pass the contract on to others.
That carpark is not 24h safe, others will disagree but they are the problem.

  2. Whenever I stayed in the Travelodge on the corner there overlooking the Harbour, there was always trouble, especially in the evening with teenagers hanging around the automatic doors, fighting and trying to get into the building. As for that car park, I never used it and instead would park up off Ramsgate Road in Broadstairs and get the loop to the Travelodge! Rough round that bit, despite the Harbour location. Such a shame.
