A closure was put in place at the St Lawrence roundabout up to the fire station on Newington Road following a collision this afternoon (December 14).
A car and a female pedestrian were involved in the incident on High Street St Lawrence. The woman pedestrian suffered serious injuries and has been taken to a London hospital.
A Kent Police spokesperson said: “Kent Police was called at 12.30pm to Newington Road, Ramsgate, following reports of a collision involving a car and a pedestrian.
“The female pedestrian has been taken to a London hospital. The road is currently closed.”
UPDATE: The road has now reopened.
