Ramsgate Boxing Club has celebrated the achievements of its members with a presentation evening.
The annual event took place at the boxing premises in Bellvue Road last week and began with club President Les Ray receiving a cheque from the landlady of The Crown Public House for £1500.
Landlady Kim Morgan and her customers have been raising funds for the club for the last three years. Kim’s father-in-law Barry Morgan had been a senior trainer at the club.
Les said: “The presentation night went really well. Over the last couple of years we have been busy renovating the gym and building an extension so the presentations went by the wayside a bit.
“We are getting back into the swim of it now and it is a good way of letting the kids know how much we appreciate them. It was lovely and the mums and dads enjoyed a good social night.”
