 77 Jadama

It was a lovely sunny day at the WW Martin Community Stadium as Rams hosted Three Bridges, whose away form this season has been poor with no points won at all from their opening six games. Rams were hoping to secure another 3 points.

Bridges started brightly, moving the ball quickly and firing in an early warning shot into the side netting, This was soon followed by another attack as Irving forced a good save from Bexon diving low to his right.

Rams took time to settle but settled they did and started moving the ball well. The signs were there, they just needed to create the opportunity. The 9th min and Rams broke up play in the Bridges half, Jadama played Ajayi in wide right, he shot across and Miller at the back post slotted home.

The 16th and a wonderfully created opportunity by Bridges down the right crossed in but Rivera was unable to get his shot on target,

Rams attacked in the 21st and Miller played Rowland in to shoot, saved well by Anderson for a corner, Rams were unable to capitalise. The 23rd and Bridges were awarded a penalty. Rivera broke through and was caught by Howlett Mundle, up stepped O’Neill straight down the middle to level the scores.

Long range shot in the 30th from Paxman was just wide of the goal although Anderson had it covered. The game lulled a little until the 38th when Rams free kick was played into the box. Rowland got a shot in, saved by Anderson with slight delay as Rowland was caught.

The 45th and Paxman was out wide on the right, crossed over to Jadama to head just wide as he tried for the back post across the keeper. As we entered time added on and half time 1 – 1

Rams started the second half on the offensive with firstly Jadama heading over and then Miller shooting just wide.

The 52nd and Bridges mounted an attack, forcing Bexon into a great save low to his right. getting a strong hand to put the ball out. The 54th and Paxman on the post blocked the ball from going in to save Rams blushes.

The 60th and Rams subs and a change to formation, the 65th and Rams score to re-take the lead as a looping ball dropped to Rowland to slice home on the half volley as Rams looked to press. The 68th and Rams score another from a deep corner to the back post and Coyle struck with his head.

The 77th and Rams from another corner, near post header by Jadama to score Rams fourth, from another accurate Miller corner he was proving to be the Rams go to man from the deadball.

The 83rd and Rowland tried his luck from just inside the Bridges half, forcing Anderson into another good save as the ball skidded off the surface.

Rams looked comfortable as we approached the final whistle and sitting on a three goal advantage. The defence  looked much more secure than in previous weeks and Bexon’s positional play in goal was superb.
