Appeal for information following attempted robbery in Cliftonville

Police are appealing for information following an attempted robbery by a man with a knife in Cliftonville.

It was reported a suspect entered a shop in Northdown Road, near the junction with Northumberland Avenue, in Cliftonville and demanded money from the till.

The member of staff refused and was able to get the suspect out of the premises. The attempted robbery took place at around 9.25pm on Monday 10 October.

The suspect was described as being of mixed ethnicity, 24-25 years old, around 5 ft 4 ins tall, and of average build. He was believed to be wearing a black jacket with the hood up, black jeans, and black gloves. He also wore a partial face covering and was reported to be carrying a knife.
