Margate RNLI crew will feature on a BBC2 series tomorrow (October 27).
The team is making its debut on Saving Lives at Sea. The series follows the work of the RNLI across the country.
The episode tomorrow features several areas including Margate where a visiting Dutch crew need emergency help after their yacht gets stuck on a notorious sandbank.
The station’s B class lifeboat ‘Colonel Stock’ crewed by Keith Patrick (helm), Lynn Cox, Jordon Newport and David Pike assist the yacht aground nine miles off Margate.
The programme is on BBC 2 at an earlier than usual time of 7pm. It will be repeated again on Saturday at 1.15pm and next Wednesday at 2.40am, it will also be available on iPlayer shortly after broadcast.
