A new group for parents and children which is free if a drink is bought from the café has launched at Sugar Rush in Ramsgate.
The Dolly Mixtures group takes place from10am to noon every Thursday during term times and will feature varied activities, song time, arts and crafts and a free drink and small snack for each child. All families are welcome with an emphasis on inclusivity for those who are LGBT+, neuro diverse or might feel nervous or anxious for any reason. Sugar Rush is also a fully wheelchair accessible venue.
The venue in Ramsgate High Street is also starting themed story time sessions at 10am from Monday, September 26, which will feature storyteller Genevieve Pepper in costumes from mermaid, to pirate to fairy princess, and will also include a book swap – bring a kids book and take another one home.
Sugar Rush also runs Tippy Toes dance class for toddlers which costs £5 per child and includes a hot drink for the parent or guardian.
A Drag Queen Storytime for children event is also planned.
