A man in his 40s has reported being robbed in Ramsgate by four men with one of them armed with a knife.

At around 10.30pm on Thursday 1 September the man was walking past Albion Gardens near the top of Madeira Walk when a group of up to four men aged in their early 20s asked the victim for his belongings.

After he handed over his wallet containing money, as well as his keys, tobacco and a white iPhone 13, they then took his trainers and some clothing and left in the direction of the harbour.

The first suspect was described as wearing a red baseball cap, white top and was said to be holding a knife. The second suspect was wearing dark clothes and a black baseball cap. All of the suspects are believed to be around five feet eight inches tall, and were clean shaven.

Detectives are appealing for anyone who saw or heard anything at the time of the robbery, or who has private CCTV or dashcam footage taken in the area to come forward.

Witnesses should call Kent Police on 01843 222289 quoting 46/170965/22.

  1. what a glorious place this sad town has become !! now wait for it = this happens eveywhere blah blah blah , just face it – this area is an extremely unsafe place to live , now tell me to move somewhere else – why should i ?

  2. We’re they white, black, brown or somewhere in between. Ferrals whatever, and they need catching when the police are not arresting people for having the wrong thoughts.

  3. People that make out things like this didn’t happen before are kidding themselves. The 80s and 90s muggings and youth gangs were worse. 100%. We didn’t have every story on an online platform but there were serious issues. It’s nothing new. 70s was even worse.

  4. 1% chance they’ll get caught.
80% we, and their victim, will pay for their legal aid.
100% “no comment” interview (keeps the Police busy and off the beat, allowing for more crime)
Judge will give a harsh punishment of at least 17 minutes of community service.
This teaches the young kids: work is punishment. And another valuable lesson: crime does pay.
