Man’s body discovered in Ellington Park

A man’s body has been found in Ellington Park, Ramsgate, today (September 2).

The sad discovery was made at the miniature train canopy area by a dog walker this morning. Kent Police and forensic officers are at the park after being called at 7am.

A Kent Police spokesperson said: “Kent Police was called at 7am following concern for a man in Ellington Park, Ramsgate.

“Officers attended, along with South East Coast Ambulance Service, and a man in his 40s was pronounced deceased.

“The death is not currently being treated as suspicious and a report will be prepared for the coroner.”

  1. I am always confused by the police statement that the discovery of a dead body in a park is not being treated as suspicious . . .

  2. So sad to hear this, well put comment. RIP hope they can trace people who knew him to they know about him, and pay their respects. A life lost is always sad regardless of the circumstances.

  3. He was a descent hardworking man. That sadly passed away due to natural causes. Shame on those that assume drugs etc.. please don’t be so quick to judge.

    He was a hard working reliable honest guy who sadly had heart attack on way to work. I worked with him along with genuine people that know him so I am glad all the piss takers have been removed
