Police and ambulance crews were called to Ramsgate early this morning (April 8) after a woman was assaulted.
Kent Police received a report of a woman seen with injuries in King Street at 4.18am.
Officers attended the scene and the injured woman was taken to hospital for treatment.
A 37-year-old man from Ramsgate was arrested on suspicion of assault and currently remains in custody while enquiries are continuing.
