
Kent Police is appealing for witnesses after a boy was threatened by a youth with a broken beer bottle and then had his mobile phone stolen in Cliftonville.
The incident happened in Sweyn Road, near the junction with Northdown Road, at around 4.50pm on Saturday, March 7.
A 14-year-old was reportedly confronted by a boy of similar age and threatened with the bottle.
The victim was told to hand over his mobile phone before the suspect made off.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or may have dashcam footage from the area at that time is urged to call Kent Police on 01843 222289, quoting reference 46/43411/20.

CCTV is not monitored but working. It means someone has to go in and look back at the footage to see if they notice anything if it is pointing in the correct direction. They only do that if they think it important enough. Not enough staff as usual!
