Police officers are investigating a break-in at Attwells newsagents in Minster in the early hours of Sunday morning (February 2).

Intruders took the glass out of the shop’s front door and were climbing in when they were disturbed by the owner, whose home is at the property. He was ‘shaken’ by the incident but is unhurt.

No goods were taken but repairs to the door will now need to be made. The shop is open but access is through the side door.
