Shakespeare comes to the Vue at Westwood

Dame Judi Dench in The Winter's Tale

Shakespeare’s acclaimed tragicomedy of obsession and redemption, The Winter’s Tale, is coming  to the big screen at Vue Westwood Cross this Christmas.

The state-of-the-art production from The Kenneth Branagh Theatre Company features an exceptional cast, including Dame Judi Dench as Paulina, alongside Tom Bateman (Florizel), and Jessie Buckley (Perdita).

Filmed at the Garrick Theatre, The Winter’s Tale is co-directored by Rob Ashford and Kenneth Branagh, also responsible for the highly accomplished production of Macbeth in Manchester and Manhattan.

King Leontes seems to have everything: power, wealth, a loving family and friends. However, sexual jealously triggers a momentous chain of events resulting in tragic consequences.

Johnny Carr, Event Cinema Manager at Vue UK and Ireland, said: “It doesn’t get much better than this at Christmas – an unbelievable cast and an extraordinary play that we can’t wait to bring to Vue.

“Viewers will be able to get up close to the stars whilst enjoying their performance in the best picture and sound quality in big screen entertainment.”
