Image issued in Margate burglary investigation

Police would like to speak to this man

Investigators have issued a computer-generated image of a man they would like to identify as part of their enquiries into a Margate burglary.

Between 8.15pm and 9.35pm on Sunday. September 1 residents at a property in Northdown Park Road found a man standing in their kitchen.

The man reportedly told them he thought he was in a friend’s house and left before the victim’s went on to find a digital camera had been stolen.

The man was described by the victims as having black hair and long thick eyebrows.

People with information on the burglary, or who recognise the man pictured, are asked to call Kent Police on 01843 222289 quoting 46/174791/19.

  1. This seems to be on the rise again.
    People be aware of distraction burglaries too where someone keeps you talking at the front door whilst a second person you didn’t see goes round the side to the back and gets in through an unlocked door and steals your valuable belongings. Genuine callers will not mind waiting whilst you talk with chain on the front door and go and lock the back up whilst checking their credentials. Don’t get fooled into standing talking at the front door.
