Police called to Ramsgate brawl

Police were called to a brawl in Ramsgate last night (July 16) between two groups of people said to have been armed with weapons, thought to be baseball bats.

The altercation took place at around 8.46pm at the junction of Park Road and South Eastern Road.

Windows at a property were also damaged during the incident.

A Kent Police spokesperson said: “Kent Police was called at 8.46pm on Tuesday 16 July to a report of an altercation involving two groups of people from neighbouring properties who had been seen with suspected weapons.

“Officers attended Park Road, near the junction with South Eastern Road, Ramsgate where both parties were spoken to. During the officers’ visit it was reported that damage had been caused to the windows of one of the properties.”

No arrest have been made and enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
