
Newington’s annual creative festival is back bigger and better than ever.
The event brings together residents to celebrate the community and have fun. On Saturday, July 6 there will be live music, free food and refreshments with Thanet Earth providng fresh produce again. There will also have free ice cream.
Wander around more than 20 stalls from local groups and organisations working to make the community a better place and battle it out with the neighbours in an epic tug of war.
A donation from Tesco’s Bag of Help has contributed towards keeping the event free.

There will also be music from Charlie Don’t Surf, Elijah Femi and local youngsters.
Helpers at the welcome gazebo will be giving out free bags with all the information about what’s happening over the Summer holidays at the community centre, a wrist band, pen and one of the centre’s new fridge magnets plus collect free ice cream vouchers.
Best Fest is at Newington Community Centre in Princess Margaret Avenue, on July 6 from 1pm to 5pm.
