Man airlifted to hospital after being hit by car in Ramsgate

A pedestrian was flown to a London hospital yesterday (June 27) after being hit by a car in Ramsgate.

Kent Police were called at 5.14pm to the collision in Manston Road. Officers and paramedics attended. The road was closed while emergency services dealt with the incident.

The male pedestrian was taken to hospital by air and the road was later reopened.

A South East Coast Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We were called at approximately 5pm yesterday (27 June) to reports of a person hit by a car in Manston Road, Ramsgate. Ambulance crews attended the scene and were joined at the scene by the air ambulance team in one of their road vehicles.

“The patient was treated for serious injuries before being taken to Kings College Hospital.”
