Man arrested for public order offences in Cliftonville

Emergency services were called to Ethelbert Road in Cliftonville last night (June 9) following reports of a distressed man at a property.

Kent Police was called at 6pm due to concern for the man. The ambulance service was also called to the scene.

A Kent Police spokesman said: “Officers attended and were reported to have been threatened by the man, who was arrested for public order offences before being taken to hospital as a precaution.”

A 37-year-old man remains in custody.
