Fire crews called to derelict building fire in Broadstairs

Four fire engines were in attendance at a blaze in a derelict Broadstairs building this morning (June 2).

Crews were called to Fairfield Road at 2.53am.

The fire, which is believed to have started in a wheelie bin, spread to the disused building. Crews extinguished the fire using a main jet, hose reel jets and the cutting away of the roof.

Kent Police were also called to the scene.

Fire crews finished with the incident just before 4am.
