Two arrests after man injured and others ‘threatened by suspects with a saw’

Two men are in custody following a disturbance in Northdown Road, Cliftonville.

A third man was taken to hospital for treatment after he was reportedly assaulted by the suspects, one of whom was said to have been carrying a hand saw. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Several other people are also believed to have been threatened during the incident, shortly after 10am today (May 25).

Officers attended and arrested two men on suspicion of affray, assault and possession of an offensive weapon. They remain in custody.

A hand saw was recovered from the scene.

  3. Ann, i think you will find the Labour party is the one
    championing the open door policy. Corbyn has already said that he will accept all the migrants in Calais and elsewhere.
