Charity walk by Thanet childminders smashes fundraising target

Thanet Childminders walk

A charity walk by children and adults from the Thanet Childminders group has doubled its fundraising target.

Some 20 children and six childminders completed the ‘Muddy Puddle walk’route on Palm Bay green this morning (May 14) in aid of Save the Children.

Childminders who attended were Westbrook childminder and collaboration leader Joanne Zannetti, Garlinge based Julianne Nocentini-Baker, Cliftonville’s Karen Pettitt. St Peters’ Joanne Levitt and Westgate minder Haley Pullman.

The group had aimed to raise £200 but have smashed this by reaching £400.

Joanna said: “All the children had a great time and found lots of lovely rocks courtesy of Thanet Rock Hunters.”
