King Street arrests made in connection with ‘threat to stab’ woman

A woman was reportedly threatened with a knife during an incident in Ramsgate this afternoon (April 3).

Some ten police vehicles were spotted at the scene in King Street after a call to a disturbance at 1pm.

The incident occurred after three men and a woman reportedly chased a man from the traffic lights at King Street to a premises in the road.

The group reportedly then threatened the woman, who works at the property and had her children in the premises at the time, with the knife when she confronted them. After the door was slammed on them they were seen to go into a property further up the street. Police were called and attended the scene.

Four people were arrested in connection with the incident.

An 18-year-old man, a 22-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy, all from Ramsgate, were arrested on suspicion of carrying out public order offences.

A 43-year-old woman from Ramsgate was also arrested on suspicion of obstructing a police officer.

All four people currently remain in custody while officers are continuing their enquiries into the incident.
